Splash Container

A container is placed inside the body, this is what stores the whole navigation. Its position is set to flex, so that we can keep the content centered. After 640px, we use the grid on the parent container to place the two visible child containers side by side.

About Us

We are The Church

Who We are

First Baptist Chruch West Tawakoni is a Bible-believing church whose primary purpose is to equip the saints for a life of service. We strive to serve the community through a Christ-centered ministry by the preaching and teaching of God’s Word. By focusing on the message of the Bible, we seek to encourage those who already know Christ as Savior in developing their relationship with Jesus through discipleship and to share Christ with those who have yet to trust in Him.
John 13:35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another." NIV

Our Focus

Building a Chruch does not reference to a building or location but is helping exort the body of Christ the “Church” to grow each day to become disciples of Jesus. Becoming a Chrisitan is a life-long commitment to following and knowing more about Him. The Apostel Paul writes:
Phil 3:10-11 I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,

Making disciples

The word “disciple” comes from the Greek word that means, “to learn.” Discipleship has two major components first there must be a teacher and secondly, a disciple someone who was willing to dedicate their life to learning about the one who they followed. By looking at Jesus’ ministry, we see how His relationship with His disciples transcended the normal pupil-teacher relationship. Jesus poured Himself into those who would multiply – teaching His teaching to others. He devoted spending time with them and sent them out to proclaim the gospel and do good works. Jesus prepared 12 men to be able to carry on His ministry after He has ascended back to His Father. He equipped the 12 so that they could make other disciples in that way the message of the Gospel spread throughout the world.

TEACHING GOD'S WORD

The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God,. 2 Tim 3:15-17 and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work NIV

(Proverbs 30:5; Psalm 12:6-7; II Timothy 3:15-17)
